Kinuyo Kamimura, 94, of Hilo, died Dec. 4, 2022, at her residence. Born in Pahoa, she was a retired seamstress at the Men’s Shop.

She is survived by son, Eric Kamimura of Honolulu; daughters, Avis (Danny) Matsuda of Altadena, California, And Lena (Richard) Tamaru of Honolulu; brother, Shiro Hashimoto of Hilo; sister, Kimiyo Nakamura of Honolulu; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice Tamayoshi
Alice Eiko Tamayoshi, 88, of San Diego, and formerly of Laupahoehoe, died Dec. 20, 2022, in San Diego. Born in Keaau, she was a retired cafeteria manager at Laupahoehoe Elementary and High School, member of Papaaloa Hongwanji Mission, Laupahoehoe Senior Citizens Club and various bowling leagues.
Friends may all at 9 a.m. April 13 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Casual attire.
She is survived by sons, Craig (Jodi) Tamayoshi of Newberry Port, Massachusetts, and Rodney (Monique) Tamayoshi of San Diego; sister, Sachiko Saito of Aiea, Oahu; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leticia “Letti” Paguirigan Agag, 78, of Hilo, died March 9, 2022. Born Jan. 1, 1944 in Laoag City, Philippines, she was a retired accountant for KTA Super Stores and an active member and longtime treasurer of First United Protestant Church in Hilo.

Dennis Kazuaki Shimata, 77, of Kailua-Kona, died March 31, 2022, at his residence. Born April 2, 1944 in Honolulu, he was a retired IT technician for First Hawaiian Bank, a former maintenance worker for the Royal Waikoloan Hotel and a window treatment specialist for JC Penney.

He is survived by wife, Evelyn Shimata of Kailua-Kona; children, Jody (Les) Luiz of Keauhou and Roger (Sheryll) Shimata of Waikoloa; siblings, Rodney (Marilyn) Shimata and Maris (Milton) Kochiyama all of Honolulu; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
